What type of student do I have to be to be eligible for the discount?
You must be a current university or TAFE student to be eligible for the discount. Optus reserves the right to remove the student discount off your account if you are unable to verify your student status.
I'm having an issue getting my promo code?
If you have entered your student email and haven't received your promo code or if your uni does not have an .edu email address, get in touch at email@example.com with a scanned copy of your current Student ID or enrolment letter and we will send you your promo code.
When will the discount appear on my bill?
The offer will appear on your first bill and for the life of your plan.
How many promo codes can I use?
Only one promo code will be given to each student. Promo codes are single use codes and will expire after one use.
How do I keep track of my usage?
We'll send you usage alerts once you've reached approximately 50%, 85% and 100% of your individual or pooled data inclusions.

What is data free entertainment streaming?
Mobile TV streaming: If you're an Optus postpaid customer on an eligible plan, you can enjoy streaming movies and TV on your mobile or tablet without using your plan's data on Netflix, Stan, ABC iview, ABC KIDS iview and ABC ME. You just need subscriptions to Netflix and Stan.
Music streaming: If you're an Optus customer on an eligible plan, you can enjoy music streaming on your mobile or tablet without using your plan's data on the following streaming service apps: Google Play Music, iHeartRadio, Pandora and Spotify. If you're using some premium versions of these services, you may have to pay for a subscription to these services.

Cancellation: Your phone repayments are reduced by a monthly credit. If you need to cancel your plan there are no plan cancellation fees, simply pay out the full remaining cost of your phone which will include any amount that Optus was going to cover.
New Phone Trade Up: After 12 months you can pay a one-off fee of $99, return your current device in good working order to Optus and buy a new device on a new 24-month plan. Alternatively if you wish to keep your original device simply pay out the full remaining cost of your device including any amount that Optus was going to cover, then upgrade to a new device on a new 24-month plan.
